    Perturbations, Asymptotics and related Tools

    Conference

The international conference "Perturbations, Asymptotics, and related Tools (PAT)" will bring together many experts working on the topics of perturbation and asymptotic problems for elliptic differential equations, and on more abstract and foundational questions that are essential to deal with perturbations and asymptotics. Said topics will include (but are not restricted to): perturbations of the domain and/or of the underlying geometric structure; corner singularities and their effects on solutions of BVP; perturbations of the mass and of other parameters; regularity properties of layer potentials and their numerical computations; degenerate, Steklov, nonlinear, and higher order problems.

    Workshop on liquid thin films

    Workshop

The main theme are capillarity-driven interfaces and surfaces in fluids, with a specific focus on their singularities. Phenomena we have in mind are contact-angle dynamics and the no-slip paradox, film rupture and the effect of noise. We‘d like to trigger exchange between novel regularity theory, asymptotic modelling, and multi-scale physics.
