Call open for the 2027 Ferran Sunyer i Balaguer Prize
The Ferran Sunyer i Balaguer Foundation has opened the 2027 call for the Ferran Sunyer i Balaguer Prize, an international mathematical research prize for an expository monograph presenting recent developments in an active area of mathematics. The prize carries an award of €15,000, and the winning monograph will be published in Birkhäuser's Progress in Mathematics series. The deadline for submissions is 27 November 2026.
The Ferran Sunyer i Balaguer Foundation has opened the call for the 2027 Ferran Sunyer i Balaguer Prize.
The prize is awarded to an original mathematical monograph of an expository nature presenting recent developments in an active area of research in mathematics to which the author or authors have made important contributions.
The winning monograph will receive a prize of €15,000 and will be published by Birkhäuser in the Progress in Mathematics series.
Submitted monographs must be original and unpublished, must not be subject to a previous publishing agreement, and should normally be written in English. They must be at least 150 pages in ISO A4 format. Authors who have received the Ferran Sunyer i Balaguer Prize during the previous ten years (2017–2026) are not eligible for the 2027 call.
The winning monograph is expected to be announced in Barcelona in April 2027.
