Bologna will host the 10th edition of the European Congress of Mathematics in 2028!
Following the vote of the EMS Council during the Council Meeting held in Granada, Bologna has been chosen as the venue of the 10th edition of the European Congress of Mathematics (ECM) to be held in 2028.
The EMS would like to thank the Bologna Organising Committee for their excellent proposal and wishes them every success in organising the next edition of the ECM. The bid for Bologna was supported by the Department of Mathematics at Alma Mater University of Bologna, the Alma Mater University of Bologna, the Italian Mathematical Union, the Istituto Nazionale di Alta Matematica (INdAM), the Italian Society for Applied and Industrial Mathematics (SIMAI), the Abdus Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), the city of Bologna and the region of Emilia-Romagna.
