Postdoctoral Researcher (f/m/d) in Numerical Analysis and PDEs (ID 20260529)

Ever heard of concepts like model order reduction, nonlocal PDE operators or OpenMP/MPI/CUDA parallelization? If such terms are familiar for you - and if you are excited by the mathematical analysis, development, and rigorous understanding of numerical methods for PDEs beyond their sole application - then please be informed that we are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join the group of Prof. Dr. Barbara Wohlmuth at the Chair of Numerical Mathematics at the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology. This is a fully funded, project-independent research position without teaching obligations, offering substantial academic freedom and the opportunity to develop an independent research profile within an interdisciplinary and international environment. The position is initially limited to two years, with the possibility of extension. Research Environment Our research combines rigorous mathematical analysis with modern scientific computing and interdisciplinary applications. We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong foundation in mathematical theory and analytical reasoning for PDE-based models and numerical methods.
