The Cyprus Institute (CyI) invites applications for a post-doctoral research fellow within the EU-funded ERA Chair project QUEST: Quantum Computing for Excellence in Science and Technology, based at CaSToRC in Cyprus. This position offers the opportunity to pursue original research on mathematically grounded aspects of quantum computing and quantum-era cryptography. The successful candidate will work on emerging problems at the interface of number theory, cryptography, and quantum computation, with an emphasis on applying rigorous mathematical structures to concrete models, algorithms, or constructions. The role is well suited to candidates seeking interdisciplinary research and early involvement in a rapidly developing area, within an internationally connected and collaborative research environment. Qualifications: • PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field (e.g. mathematical physics, theoretical computer science, or quantum information). • Strong research potential and independence; experience with cryptography and quantum algorithms is an advantage.
