Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics with Computer Science at the Guangdong Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in mathematics. We are particularly interested in candidates working in Combinatorics, Moduli Theory, and Geometry, broadly construed. We welcome applications from researchers whose work connects these areas with other parts of pure mathematics. The successful candidate will conduct independent research and will have the opportunity to interact with faculty members and researchers at GTIIT, the Technion, and the broader international mathematical community. Position and benefits The position is initially for one year, with the possibility of a one-year extension, subject to satisfactory performance and GTIIT regulations. The salary is more than 250,000RMB/year, depending on qualifications and experience and in accordance with GTIIT policies. The position also includes travel allowance and health insurance in accordance with GTIIT policies. The position is based at the Guangdong Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) in Shantou, Guangdong, China. Qualifications Applicants should have: a PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field by the time of appointment; a strong research record appropriate to their career stage; research interests relevant to one or more of the areas listed above.
