Budapest University of Technology and Economics invites applications for a postdoctoral position in algebraic geometry. The appointment is for two years, with a possible extension for a third year. Candidates should demonstrate exceptional promise in mathematical research and are expected to take an active part in the scientific life of the BME Mathematical Institute. The position is funded by the HAS Momentum (Lendület) research project “Geometric representation theory” led by Ádám Gyenge. Therefore, applicants whose research plans are related to geometric representation theory, moduli spaces or quiver varieties are especially encouraged to apply. The annual gross salary is approximately 32,000 EUR, complemented by an annual travel allowance of 1,000 EUR (exact amounts are paid in HUF).
