PhD and Postdoc Position in CRC 1785

The German Science Foundation (DFG) recently approved the new Collaborative Research Centre "Generalised Motivic Methods in Geometry" (DFG CRC 1785) at the University of Regensburg, in collaboration with colleagues from the University of Augsburg, TU Munich, and JGU Mainz: https://sfb1785.app.ur.de The idea of this CRC is to promote and further develop motivic thinking in a wide variety of geometric contexts, such as algebraic/arithmetic geometry, topology, and Riemannian geometry. This CRC offers a workshop and guest programme and a number of PhD and postdoc positions. We therefore welcome applications to PhD and postdoc positions for the first funding period (10/2026--06/2030)! We especially encourage women and members of underrepresented groups to apply. Depending on the project within the CRC, the PhD students and postdocs will we based in Regensburg or at the other participating locations (Augsburg, Munich, Mainz, Hamburg).
