4.2.1 Selection process for ECM site

1. Call for bids 6 years prior to the ECM (year Y – 6 where Y is the year of ECM) with the deadline February 28, Y – 5.
2. Screening and pre-selection of bids at spring meeting in year Y – 5. Request bidders for detailed bid until end of July in that year.
3. Site visit of the EC members to bid sites in autumn in year Y – 5.
4. Preparation of proposal for bids presented to Council in year Y – 5.
5. Decision about congress site at Council in year in year Y – 4.
6. Preparation and signing of Memorandum of Understanding between congress organizers and EMS, after decision in year Y – 4.
