4.1 EMS Meeting of Presidents

The EMS Meeting of Presidents is an annual meeting of Presidents of the full members and representatives of associate and institutional members, which takes place usually on some Saturday – Sunday in spring and is hosted by one of the EMS corporate members. This meeting is often combined with the spring EC meeting.

This gathering serves mainly as a forum, where the EMS corporate members can share their experiences, plans, and worries, and discuss them with the EMS Officers. The programme conventionally opens with the presentation of the host corporate member and information about the EMS activities. Some participating societies also prepare presentations with information they want to share.

The main part of the meeting is general discussion. To give it some focus, the EMS usually suggests a contemporary topic and encourages participants to comment on it without restricting their freedom to raise any other issue they regard important.
