SUMMARY:Stochastic and Randomized Algorithms in Scientific Computing: Found
	ations and Applications

DESCRIPTION:The main goal of this program is to advance foundational resear
ch in stochastic and randomized methods for scientific computing and optim
ization\, enabling their effective and widespread use in challenging appli
cations. This includes the development of new mathematical approaches\, co
	nvergence results\, next-generation hardware\, statistical guarantees\, an
d error bounds\, as well as the integration of these tools in scientific a
pplications at scale. We also aim to create research and mentorship opport
unities for researchers at all levels\, including advanced undergraduate s
	tudents\, graduate students\, postdocs\, and senior scientists.
